The animal rescue activity existed well before the foundation was formally established and registered in June 2014.
Pranin Foundation was established by Neha Patel. Since childhood, she has been involved in caring for animals.
From 2009 onwards, Neha Patel has helped rescue thousands of animals, particularly cows, in central and south Gujarat area together with her gaurakshak (cow protection activist) team. Now there are a few volunteers to help her in rescue work. A few volunteers help with treating the injured animals, and with maintaining this Internet site and social media pages.
